I have to work hard on ring making as early as the fourth and final week of the jewelry course! Four days left, including today.
I have to keep at it, but the time is flying by.
We are trying a new restaurant every day for lunch vouchers, and today’s pizzeria was quite tasty.
早くもジュエリーコース最終週の4週目で指輪製作も頑張らねば！今日を入れ4日間。
焦らずコツコツやるのみなのだが、あっという間に時間が過ぎて行く。
ランチバウチャーで毎日新しい店に挑戦中で、今日はpizzeria なかなか美味しかった。

The sun is shining stronger day by day, and tourists walking around the city look like they are already at a resort! I heard that the rainy season started in Tokyo yesterday, so I am glad that it is not humid compared to the rainy season in other parts of Japan.
The welding work is difficult and does not go as smoothly as I would like. I am not sure if I will be able to finish the work in the next two days, but I am taking it easy and not rushing.
日に日に陽射しが強くなり街を歩く観光客たちは、もうリゾート地のよう！きのう東京などは梅雨入りしたらしいので、それに比べて湿気がないのは助かっている。
溶接作業が難しくなかなか思う様にいかず、あと二日間で出来上がるのだろうかと不安になるが焦らず慎重に。

Today is the last day of the Florentine carving class. After carving one side of the leaf-shaped pendant top I had previously made (to make it matte), I carved the veins on top of it, which makes the part look smooth and emerges, giving it a luxurious, deep, and wonderful effect. The final finishing touches were done by a teacher who could not see the danger in my use of the carving knife.
フィレンツェ彫りの授業は今日が最終。。以前造っていた葉っぱの形のペンダントトップの一面に彫りを施してから(マットな面にする)上から葉脈を彫ることによりその部分がツルツルの状態でうきあがって見え、高級感というか、奥行きが出るというか、素敵な効果が出る。＊最終仕上げは私の彫刻刀の使い方の危なさを見かねた先生がしてくださいました。

The 4-week jewelry course is over. I managed to complete my original ring in time for the last day of the course.
I am very impressed. As a beginner, I was very nervous every day working with blades and fire, but thanks to the teachers and everyone else, I was able to complete the course without any injuries. Thank you very much.
4週間のジュエリーコース終了。オリジナルの指輪も最終日に何とか間に合って完成。
感激です。初心者で尚且つ刃物や火を使っての作業は毎日がドキドキでしたが、無事怪我もせずやってこれたのは先生方を始め皆様のおかげです。ありがとうございました。

There was a substitute class for Cooking. Making gnocchi was fun and very, very tasty.
Today’s art visit was to the Church of Santa Croce. It houses Michelangelo and other people representing the city of Florence.
Cookingの振り替え授業があった。ニョッキ作りは楽しく、とてもとても美味しかった。
今日のアートヴィジットは、サンタクローチェ教会。ミケランジェロをはじめとするフィレンツェの街を代表する人々が納められている。

Since it was my day off, I took the train alone to see the “Leaning Tower of Pisa”.
Pisa is one hour from Florence by Trenitalia. It was 33 degrees Celsius, which was slightly better than Florence where it was 36 degrees Celsius. For some reason, when I tried to take a picture of the Leaning Tower with my iPhone, the image was corrected! I felt that the Leaning Tower looked straight when I tried to take a picture with my iPhone. It might be my imagination, but it’s a pity.
お休みだったので、1人で電車に乗って『ピサの斜塔』を見に行く。
ピサはトレニタリアでフィレンツェから1時間。暑い暑いピサ見学は、36度あったフィレンツェよりややマシな33度。なぜか、iPhoneで撮ろうとすると斜塔が補正されて！真っ直ぐぽく写ってしまう気がしたのだが、、、。気のせいかもしれないが残念。

I was told that a parade in period costumes, a traditional event of the Carcio Storico Fiorentino (a soccer match played by players dressed in medieval costumes), was about to start from Santa Maria Novella, so despite the 36°C temperature (lol), I went to watch. The excitement and power of the parade was breathtaking.
カルチョ・ストーリコ・フィオレンティーノ(中世装束に身を包んだ選手によるサッカーの試合)の伝統行事である、時代衣装でのパレードがサンタマリアノヴェッラから出発するという事を教えてもらい、気温36度にも負けず(笑)見に行く。熱気とパワーに包まれて圧巻。
