I have been opening a gelato shop for 19 years on Yubu Island, a remote island in Okinawa Prefecture.
With the support of his family, he realized his dream of studying gelato this June.

Fresh Pasta Lesson

I happened to be the only student in the fresh pasta lesson, so I had the teacher all to myself!
I had the luxury of talking about my family with the teacher, and since it was a one-on-one lesson, it was a very luxurious time.

Pasta fresca (fresh pasta) is a dish that Italian families make on a daily basis.
In the class, we were able to experience this traditional method with our own hands.

The dough is made from simple ingredients, and because there are only a few ingredients, it requires a little skill in handling and kneading.
But the teacher carefully guided us by my side.

生パスタレッスンでは、たまたま生徒が私だけで先生を独り占めできました!!
先生と家族の話をしたり、マンツーマンだったので、贅沢な時間となりました。

イタリアの家庭で日常的に作る“パスタ・フレスカ(生パスタ)”。
授業では、その伝統的な手法を、実際に自分の手で体験することができました。

シンプルな材料で作る生地は、材料が少ない分、扱い方や練り方にちょっとしたコツが必要。
でも、先生がそばで丁寧に指導してくれました。

In the pasta lesson, we not only learned how to make noodles, but also how to make the perfect sauce for the pasta! The teacher asked, “What kind of sauce goes best with what kind of pasta?”
What kind of sauce goes with what kind of pasta?“ ”How can I cook pasta in a way that enhances the flavor of the ingredients?
You will be able to learn these things so that you can recreate the “authentic taste” for your family and friends as soon as you return to your home country.

The actual lesson was just like visiting an Italian home.
The teacher is cheerful and friendly.
We had a lot to talk about, not only about cooking, but also about Italian food culture, local cuisine, and daily conversation.


パスタレッスンでは、麺を作るだけでなくそのパスタにぴったりのソースも一緒に学ぶことができました!
「どんな形のパスタには、どんなソースが合うのか?」
「素材の味を引き立てる調理法って?」
そんな知識もしっかり学べるので、帰国後すぐに家族や友人に“本場の味”を再現してあげられます。

実際のレッスンは、まるでイタリアの家庭にお邪魔したかのような雰囲気でした。
先生は陽気でフレンドリー。
料理だけでなく、イタリアの食文化や郷土料理のお話、日常会話など、話が尽きることはありませんでした。
