A new classmate joined us today. I was able to clear the thread saw for the earrings, but the next step was to file the parts! I am glad I came this time. I’m glad I came this time.
今日から新しいクラスメートが加わった。ピアス用の糸鋸はクリア出来たが、次はヤスリの作業、パーツが細かいのでなかなか思う様にならないのだが、自分はこうやってコツコツと物造りをしたかったんだな！と思うと今更ながら今回来れて良かった。と、実感している。
The sun is shining brightly and it’s summer! The lack of humidity helps, but the sun’s rays are amazing.
Today is a long day, with two teachers teaching for five and a half hours straight, which requires a lot of tension and concentration, and I continue to work silently.
気がつくと太陽は燦々と輝き、夏だ！湿気がないので助かっているが陽射しがすごい。
今日は2人の先生の授業がぶっ通しで5時間半という長丁場、緊張と集中力のいる日で、黙々と作業を続けている。
The earrings are done and they turned out quite well for me. (lol) Next, I decided to try my hand at the ring I wanted to make. After class, I go home for a fun after-school lunch, gelato, and wander shopping with my classmates.
ピアスが出来上り、自分にとってはなかなかの出来栄えであった。(笑) 次は自分の作りたい指輪に挑戦することに。授業の後は楽しい放課後、クラスメートとランチやジェラートやぶらぶらショッピングなどをして帰る。
This week’s Art Village is things related to Cosimo I, from Piazza della Signora to Palazzo Pitti (along the pathway built by Vasari) via the Uffizi.
The time was 6:30 to 8:00 to avoid the heat, the stores were closing, and there were fewer tourists, so we were able to take our time and look around.
今週のアートビレッジは、コジモ一世にまつわる物、シニョーラ広場からウフィツィを経由しピッティー宮殿までの(ヴァザーリにより建設された通路に沿っての)コース。
暑さを避けて6時半から8時という事やお店も閉まりつつあり観光客も少なめで、じっくり見て回る事が出来た。
Cultural Activities. After an hour bus ride, we went to a winery in Chianti.
We had a briefing on the process of grape and wine production and tasted three kinds of wine in the pleasant breeze and sunlight. I bought some delicious olive oil as a souvenir.
カルチャーアクティビティ。小一時間のバス移動で、キャンティーのワイナリーへ。
それこそ映画に出てくる様な「トスカーナのワイナリー」心地よい風と陽射し中での、葡萄からワインの製造迄の説明や、3種類のテイスティング。美味しいオリーブオイルをお土産に買った。
A friend invited me to visit the Orticortura Gardens near Liberty Square. (It is a small botanical garden built in the 1800s, with an old greenhouse and a horticultural library.) There was a pop-up gelato store in the park, and we enjoyed a relaxing Sunday in the park.
友人に誘ってもらい、自由広場の近くのオルティコルトゥラ庭園に。(1800年代に造られた小さな植物園で、古めかしい温室と園芸図書館あり)公園内にポップアップで、知っているジェラート屋さんが出店していて、日曜日の公園をゆ〜っくり、のんびりと満喫。
