Italian Home Cooking

My expatriate experience in India made me love cooking even more, so I joined an Italian cooking study abroad program with an English interpreter during the holidays.

Italian Home Cooking Short Course (#1) – L.S.

“I am very satisfied with my one-week study abroad experience and it was a good refresher and memory for me. Thank you very much.”

To the real Italy
Although it was only one week, I learned so many recipes.
We cooked a wide range of dishes from appetizers to primo (main dishes such as pasta and risotto), secondo (main dishes), and dolce (dessert)!

Some of the ingredients are unique to Italy.
Pasta was made by hand from flour, and we also encountered unusual ingredients and meat preparation methods.
Vegetables such as flower zucchini, which is rare in Japan, and eggplant, which has a different shape from that in Japan.

More than just cooking lessons
In addition to the cooking lessons, the week was filled with walking around Florence, a trip to Pisa, and a visit to Rosignano, a city by the sea.
