(February 24)
Rain, Italian class starts at 9:00. What did you do over the weekend to review last week? What did you eat this morning? We started with a conversation. Slide shows showed cooking utensils and terms necessary for cooking with pictures. It was easy to learn Italian words that can be used immediately. The teacher asked us questions in turn and we answered them. Even in group lessons, it is satisfying when everyone has an equal opportunity to speak. After school, I have to decide on a restaurant for my internship, but I am still in doubt. Today, I am going on another gelato quest.

雨、9時からイタリア語授業開始。先週の復習兼ねて、週末何をしていた？、今朝何を食べました？・・・等、会話から始まります。スライドで、調理器具や、料理する際に必要な用語を絵付きで学びました。直ぐ使えるイタリア語は、頭にも入りやすいです。順番に先生から聞かれ回答する授業。グループレッスンでも全員が平等に話す機会があると満足度も高いです。放課後、インターンの店を決めなくてはならないのですが、未だ迷い中。今日もジェラート探求に向かいます。
(February 25)
Italian class starts at 9:00. Today, the teacher reads a sentence, and we listen and respond to the sentence read three times over. The teacher reads slowly, but when I told the teacher that I could not understand everything, she told me that I should listen to and understand each word and part of the sentence. The teacher is easy to listen to and teaches carefully. After school, we explored the school. We discovered new things in passages we usually just pass by, inside buildings, and if you pay a little attention. We found miniature handmade shoes on the counter.

9時からイタリア語授業。今日は、文章を先生が読み、三回繰り返し読んでもらった文章を聞き取り、回答していきます。ゆっくり、読んでくれますが、全部聞き取れないことを先生に伝えると、単語ごと、部分的に聞き取って理解していくと良いと教えていただきました。聞きやすく、丁寧に教えてくれる先生です。放課後は、学校探検をしました。普段通り過ぎるだけの通路や、建物の中、ちょっと気にかけると新たな発見があります。ミニサイズの手作り靴をカウンターで見つけました。
(February 26)
Italian class at 9:00. Tomorrow will be one month since I came to Italy. Today, we continue from yesterday’s lesson… Time passed quickly from the first class. Grammar is emphasized, but I feel that I am gradually becoming able to listen to conversations. Conversations with classmates and new challenges are not easy, but I try to enjoy them.
A few days ago, I started experiencing itchy eyes, face, nose discomfort, and sore throat. In Japan, I used to spend this time of year going to the hospital for hay fever, but I didn’t know that there is pollen in Italy as well, and I didn’t bring any medicine, so it is getting harder and harder. Living in Italy without a mask, I feel like I am being exposed to pollen for the first time in several years.

9時からイタリア語授業。明日でイタリアへ来て1ヶ月です。今日も、昨日の続きから・・・。最初の授業からあっという間に時間が過ぎました。文法重視、でも会話が少しずつ聞き取れるようになってきている実感があります。クラスメイトと会話したり、新たな挑戦は簡単では無いけど、楽しむことにしています。
数日前から、目、顔の痒み、鼻の違和感、喉の痛みが出てきました。日本ではこの時期、花粉症で病院通いの生活でしたが、イタリアにも花粉があることを知らず、薬を持ってきていないので辛くなってきました。マスクをしないイタリア生活、数年ぶりに花粉を浴びている感じです。
(March 2)
Today is the first Sunday of the month…Free Di today. We gather at 8 am. I went to Pittay Palace with my classmates. It was not crowded in the morning and we were able to get in smoothly as soon as it opened. A holiday with dependable classmates, experiencing art and spending time together is precious. When we were tired of walking around the too large palace, Boboli Garden, paintings, decorations, and costumes, we went to lunch at PIZZERIA recommended by the teacher, and then to GELATERIA.)
It was a refreshing holiday.)

今日は、月初の日曜日・・・本日無料ディ。朝8時集合。クラスメイトと一緒に、ピッテイ宮殿へ行きました。朝は混んでおらず、開店と同時にスムーズに入れました。頼りになるクラスメイトとの休日、芸術に触れ、一緒に過ごせる時間は貴重です。あまりにも広い宮殿内、ボーボリ庭園、絵画に装飾、衣装、歩き疲れた頃、先生オススメのPIZZERIAでランチ、その後GELATERIAへ。)
リフレッシュした休日を過ごせました。
