In order to realize the dream that I had always longed for, I decided to take the plunge and retire last year at the age of 44 from the company I had worked for for 22 years, and decided to study abroad in Italy. I was looking for a school where I could make the gelato I wanted to make, and I found Accademia Riaci.

ずっと憧れていた夢を実現する為、思い切って去年22年間勤めた会社を44歳で退職し、イタリア留学を決意。自分の作りたいジェラートを形に出来る学校を探し、アカデミアリアチに出会いました。

Gelato Internship Course (#10) – K

Monday, March 31
Italian class at 9:00. Today we talked about gelato. The teacher teaches the class from daily conversation, which is similar to my own. And she also carefully personalizes the answers to homework assignments.

9時からイタリア語授業。今日はジェラートの話で盛り上がりました。先生は、日常の会話から、自分に近い内容で授業してくれます。そして、宿題の答え合わせも、丁寧に個人に合わせて指導してくれます。

Thursday, April 3
Today I have an interview at 10:00. I feel this tension that I haven’t experienced in a long time. I had a gelato I wanted to make and chose the gelato study abroad program. I cross the bridge and arrive early.

今日は10時に面接。久しぶりに味わうこの緊張感。私は作りたいジェラートがあってジェラート留学の選択をしました。橋を渡って早めに到着。

Friday, April 4
Today I went to Cinque Terre. We left early in the morning, but could only visit two places. The proximity to the sea reminded me of home in Japan! We also had a good gelato and enjoyed it to the fullest.

今日は、チンクエテッレへ行ってきました。朝早めに出発しましたが、二箇所しか回れませんでした。海が近くて、日本の自宅を思い出しました!ジェラートもしっかり食べて満喫しました。
